6 Places to Get Inspired For Your Los Angeles Personal Branding Photography Session - Bernadette Marciniak
So you know you want to do a personal branding session but you’re not sure where to go for it. The laptop coffee shots will only take up 20 minutes and you want to use the rest of your session time wisely.
Never fear, the Los Angeles traveler is here! Whether you’re the outdoorsy nature type or city girl with a flair for urban backdrops, these six spots could be the set of your Los Angeles personal branding session.
Arts District
This has easily become one of my favorite areas on Los Angeles to galavant around. Warehouses turned into beautiful, colorful landmarks that act as a great backdrop for urban scenes. Artist Colette Miller also has a series of angel wings painted on city walls, many of them being here.
Union Station
Beautiful architecture? Check. California palm trees? Check. There are tons of little nooks and crannies to escape to in and around this structure to get some beautiful imagery.
Santa Monica Pier
Okay, okay, I know it’s a little cliche, but you could get a solid session out of this location, especially if you’re making the kiddos part of your shoot. A stroll up and down the pier itself might seem chaotic but with a little bit of patience (and a great photographer, wink wink, nudge nudge), you can get photos that will make it look like you were the only ones there.
At sunset, head down to the beach for some stunning pictures underneath the pier. Yoga and journaling welcome.
Los Angeles River
You will likely have to hold your breath for shots around here, but there are a few places where you can capture what the beauty of our one and only notable water landmark. Just hope that there’s actually water in it.
Wilson Canyon
Up in the north of San Fernando Valley there’s a hiking trail tucked away from the buzz of city life. While you still get the hum of Interstate I-210 in the distance, the trails in this park provide beautiful views and photo opportunities. Want to show that “Ohm” vibe? This is your spot.
Pasadena City Hall
Any Parks and Rec fans out there? Because this is actually Pawnee City Hall. I know, I know…I just blew your mind. Aside from being able to channel your inner Leslie Knope, this building offers a lot of great nooks and crannies for pretty pictures.
Pacific Coast Highway
If you drive north of Santa Monica on the 1, you can find the epitome of California along the coast. A lot of pull-offs have access to the beach where you can get shots of the water and cliffs all in one.
